The Focused Parent Guidance Consultation is for parents and caregivers of children aged approximately 2 to 6 who want help understanding developmental changes, preparing for an upcoming stage or working through an everyday parenting question.

Guidance is also available for recurring behaviour difficulties. The Newborn Foundations Package provides separate support across birth to four months.

Begin with a Focused Parent Guidance Consultation for a developmental stage, upcoming change or specific parenting question. Choose online or in home according to whether working in your home environment would add value.

For structured support across birth to four months, the Newborn Foundations Package is available fully online or fully in home.

The Newborn Foundations Package includes one initial session and four follow-up sessions across the birth-to-four-month period.

The package provides structured support with early routines, patterns, parent responses and adjustment as your baby develops.

Choose either the fully online package for $695 or the fully in-home package for $1,195. All five sessions are delivered in the selected format.

The online consultation is 75 minutes. The in-home consultation is 90 minutes. Both include preparation, a concise written action plan and a separate 15-minute implementation check-in.

We agree on the stage, change or question you want to focus on, consider your child’s development and family circumstances, and work through practical preparation.

Where useful, we practise relevant parent responses and discuss how to use them at home. You receive a concise written action plan and a short check-in.

If your consultation concerns an existing behaviour difficulty, we also examine the recurring situation and the responses around it.

The consultation focuses on your understanding, preparation and practical responses as a parent. Your child may be present during an in-home consultation, and relevant family routines or context can be observed or rehearsed where useful and agreed.

Yes. The online option is a complete focused service. It includes a questionnaire, 75-minute consultation, practice and feedback, written action plan and check-in.

Gibbs Parent Consulting checks whether the request fits the service. If it does, you receive the two format options and booking process. If fit is unclear, a short suitability call may be offered. If another service is more appropriate, this will be explained.

Yes. Everyday behaviour guidance remains available, including support with tantrums, transitions, routines and boundaries.

The consultation focuses on practical parent understanding and responses.

In-home consultations focus on Boroondara and Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Location and availability are confirmed before booking.

Online consultations are also available. If you are outside the main home-service area, you can enquire about online guidance or check in-home availability.

Consultation and package invoices are issued upfront.

Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date unless the invoice requires payment before the consultation or package begins.

Less than 24 hours’ notice results in the full fee being charged.
